NFT and Metaverse: Samsung and the Next NFT Boom

Will the NFTs do (even) better than in 2021 this year? The sector could experience another boom with increased interest in metaverse by crypto companies and those initially operating outside the cryptosphere. Arcane Research thus predicts that a growing number of traditional game companies are expected to embrace NFTs in 2022.

Samsung participated in 2021, through its venture capital arm, Samsung Next, in a fundraising of 93 million dollars, in a round of financing of series B for the metaverse The Sandbox.

Samsung Next also participated at the end of 2021, in the series A financing round of the Ready Player Me gaming platform. The $ 13 million raised will be used by the platform for finance its ambitions of interoperability of avatars between different metaverse.

Beyond the sphere of NFTs, Samsung has always been particularly active in the field of cryptocurrencies in general. In 2021, the South Korean giant had integrated Ledger wallets in its Galaxy and spent OK with the Elrond project for the preservation within its EGLD token devices.

Samsung dives in its own way – in ultra high definition – in NFTs. Each company enters the race in its own way – at high speed for Ferrari and its exclusive digital content– by providing the sector with its distinctive skills.
