Hollywood and NFT – Cut scenes from the film Pulp Fiction will be sold as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the OpenSea marketplace. These NFTs have the particularity of being created on a blockchain that wants to protect the privacy of its users.
Pulp Fiction: new scenes in the form of NFT… 27 years after the film’s release
On November 2, 2021, screenwriter and director Quentin Tarantino, announcement the auction on OpenSea, of seven unseen scenes in the form of NFT from the film Pulp Fiction released in 1994. The NFTs also contain the film’s original handwritten scripts and an exclusive audio commentary from the director. They are generated on the Secret Network blockchain.
Pulp Fiction is Tarantino’s second feature film. Its cast is made up of Hollywood stars like John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, and Uma Thurman. The film won the Palme d’Or in 1994. Tarantino introduced NFTs as a way to create a new form of relationship between fans and artists :

Private NFTs works of art: confidentiality as a priority of Secret Network
Secret Network blockchain claims to be the first matching blockchain smart contracts that prioritize confidentiality and thus preserve privacy. Only owners of non-fungible tokens built on Secret Network can thus have access to the content of their NFTs. Blockchain transaction and ownership data are further encrypted. Private NFTs thus allow artists and collectors to remain anonymous if they wish.
Pulp Fiction is not the only film that will be promoted through the NFTs. MGM studios recently partnered with the VeVe marketplace to launch NFTs for “No Time to Die”. The latter will be the first James Bond film with digital collectibles.
NFTs projects will certainly be able to find a significant amount of “raw materials” to tokenize in Hollywood. Beyond the mercantile logic, They will however have to understand the spirit, the message conveyed by each work, to exploit it adequately and avoid attracting unnecessary criticism from the fans, as was the case during the announcement of the NFTs of the film Dune.
