” Since a while “, the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, is a cryptocurrency investor. During the Dealbook conference, organized by the New York Time this Tuesday, the businessman revealed it to the general public. A direct rapprochement with his counterpart, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX.
Obviously, Tim Cook was keen to put his words into context. His belief in his investment is in no way a reflection of Apple’s point of view or any other professional project. When Tesla said he had invested in Bitcoin, all eyes were on the apple brand.
“Besides, I do not give any investment advice to anyone”, he put in perspective, also warning on the fact that buying Apple shares in no way allowed exposure to cryptocurrencies (as is the case, to a certain extent, of companies like MicroStrategy).

An investment in a cryptocurrency
Bitcoin or Ethereum? What cryptocurrency does Tim Cook own? In response to a question, Apple’s CEO outright said: ” I do it (invest in cryptocurrencies editor’s note). I think it’s reasonable to own them as part of a diversified portfolio ”.
He has had his capital in digital currency for some time. But it’s impossible to know if the investment dates back to last year or if it was motivated by the Bitcoin boom at the start of the year.
As you will understand, Tim Cook is not as outgoing as Elon Musk and we should not know anytime soon which cryptocurrency the man has converted his dollars to. Neither the sum nor the platform to complete the transaction.
